Comments log for user ID Chris J News Subject: City starts legal proceeding against violator of zoning law - 06/09/2008 - I am appalled that Jaf11's derogatory comment about Jason Buchanan was approved by this website!  I thought the point of registering for a username was to protect the integrity of the website by ensuring that inappropriate, unjust and/or slanderous comments were blocked?   I think it's disgusting that Jaf11 is allowed to insult someone while hiding behind a username.  However, I'm guessing that the comment was allowed because Jaf's credibility is evident since the comment he/she posted is rife with grammatical errors.   In my opinion, Jaf is wrongfully using this forum to potshot!  Shame on you Jaf11!    Chris Jenkins PS: FYI-> Spell check is available within this forum.....it's the blue check mark with the ABC by it!  News Subject: City Approves New Garbage Collection Contract - 06/23/2008 - The current building is an equipment shed, where the bases, chalk, ref gear, etc. are kept. A concession stand is needed, good idea!  I think the idea of having the website maintained by Fieldcrest students is a great idea! This will help prepare students for future employment opportunities and will be much more cost effective than hiring someone to do it. Hiring someone who is currently on the city payroll would be a conflict of interest, because the site should be run by a more neutral party. Lastly, in my opinion, a comment forum to a city site is a bad idea. A city site should showcase what the city has to offer and market it for future home-buyers; it should not be a place to complain and air out dirty laundry.
